Gainesville is waiting on some supplies to be delivered before it continues an effort to bring pedestrian upgrades to federal Americans with Disabilities Act compliance. The Georgia Department of Transportation “provided to the city in the past year many pedestrian signal countdown (light-emitting diodes) for retrofitting into our existing pedestrian signal housings,” traffic engineer Dee Taylor said. “This process is almost complete.”
