Sue Bottoms and Lynne Dockery reached a razor-thin finish in the race for an open post for probate judge in Habersham. Just one vote separates the two in unofficial returns. They will face-off in the Aug. 5 runoff.

A four-way race for Habersham coroner resulted in a runoff between Kasey McEntire and Kenneth Franklin, who were the top two finishers. Incumbent tax commissioner June Black turned back a challenge from Rhoda Seabolt. Black received 60 percent of the Republican votes.
