State Department of Transportation crews plan construction work on Ga. 53 near Braselton next week to replace a new cross drainage pipe.

The work is set to begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday on Ga. 53 south of Ga. 124. Both lanes will be closed through Wednesday evening.

Traffic in the area will be diverted west via Davis Street back to Ga. 124. Drivers are asked to slow down and drive carefully through the work area.
