Deputies took three men into custody following a suspicious vehicle fire at Mountain View Park off Browns Bridge Road on Monday.

Hall County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of reckless driving around 4 p.m. at the park. They arrived to find a 2006 Ford Mustang overturned and burning, said Col. Jeff Strickland.

Witnesses there told deputies they saw three white males, including the driver, running from the car before officers arrived.

Investigators reported to Strickland that the men they suspect of crashing the car and took into custody tried to report the vehicle stolen. The men likely will be charged with one count of false report of a crime, he said.

The incident remains under investigation.
