Tonight: A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 1am. Some thunder is also possible. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 24. Northwest wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 42. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Gainesville and Hall County school officials have been watching the weather today, but a decision about classes may not come until early Monday morning.

Gainesville Superintendent Merrianne Dyer said she has communicated with Hall Superintendent William Schofield this afternoon about the weather conditions.

While officials could make a determination about Monday classes this evening, any decision likely wouldn't come until early Monday morning, according to Gordon Higgins, spokesman for the Hall County school system.

Gainesville State College closed Sunday afternoon, but a decision about Monday classes will be made by 6 a.m. Monday, according to the school's Web site.
