Girl Scout Troop #10806 decided to make a “Blanket Brigade” for the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia.

The troop collected and donated new and used blankets, sheets and towels in the hopes the cats and dogs could use them to sleep and play with.

The project the girls called the Blanket Brigade will go toward the troop members’ Bronze Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve.

The troop will continue to help their community by starting a paper towel drive for the Humane Society and assisting the homeless in a different way at a later date.
