Carolyn Neal Sartain of Gainesville was inducted into Mercer University’s Inaugural Class of Phi Beta Kappa, the 285th chapter of the prestigious academic honor society, on April 9.

The honor society that accepts seniors and exceptional juniors who rank among the top 10 percent of their graduating class.

Sartain is a senior majoring in communication studies and Spanish with a minor in women’s and gender studies.
