Barbara Edwards’ “Parallel Universe” took first place in the Bowen Center for the Arts’ Juried Art Show.

The Bowen Center for the Arts held its awards ceremony for its Juried Art Show last month.

Dawsonville’s Barbara Edwards earned first place with her abstract water media painting “Parallel Universe.” She won $400.

The Bowen Center for the Arts is located just North of Dawsonville’s historic square at 334 Ga. 9 North. Admission is free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
