Triston Cooper received a $1,000 scholarship in memory of Eddie Waldrep, East Hall boys basketball coach from 1969-74. Waldrep died in November 2014, and the scholarship was given by his family and presented by Waldrep’s granddaughter, Jace Armstrong, on May 10 at an award ceremony at the school. Cooper was selected by the coaches at East Hall because of his high performance he put forth on the team, in the classroom and in the community.
