The Academy Child Development Center students in Oakwood raised $10,619 for Challenged Child and Friends.

Through generous sponsorships, the children were given the opportunity to participate in the annual “Pedalin’ for our Pals” event. Last month the children brought their decorated bicycles and rode around the track in honor of their friends at Challenged Child and Friends school.

“The academy hopes that each year this event opens the eyes of many to the treasure Challenged Child and Friends is for the community, along with planting seeds of stewardship within the children through the act of giving back to our community,” a press release said.
