Tyson Foods Inc. voluntarily has recalled 51,360 pounds of frozen raw chicken breast tenderloins because of concerns it may contain soy.

Soy, a known allergen, was not listed on the products’ labeling. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has not received any reports of illnesses, but the company has initiated the recall as a precautionary measure.

The affected products were sold to food-service companies, which typically supply restaurants, and were not labeled for retail sale. Gary Mickelson, a media contact with Tyson Foods, said the involved products were not distributed to schools.

Mickelson declined to release the names of any companies involved and said he did not have any information as to whether any of the affected companies were located in Northeast Georgia.

The products were produced at the company’s Vicksburg, Miss., location between July 23 and Aug. 5 and shipped to food-service customers in Georgia and 28 other states.
