Campbell earns board certification in plastic surgery
Dr. D.J. Campbell of The Aesthetic Center of Gainesville and Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery Associates has earn his certification by The American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Campbell grew up in Cleveland. He accepted a football scholarship to Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1992. He began his medical training at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon and finished with highest honors in 1999.

Campbell then entered the six-year general surgery residency program at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit. He later pursued a two-year fellowship in plastic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He began his practice in Gainesville in 2007
The American Board of Plastic Surgery was established in 1937 to recognize excellence in plastic surgery. To be certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery, a plastic surgeon must pass rigid written and oral examinations that deal with both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Burrell begins internship with Bates, Carter & Co.
Lee Burrell has joined Bates, Carter & Co. for a 2009 tax season internship.

He received his undergraduate degree in accounting from North Georgia College and State University in 2008. While at NGCSU, he was a member of the basketball team and an academic all-conference selection.

In addition to preparing for the CPA exam, he is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration degree from NGCSU and will start a Masters in Entrepreneurship program at Western Carolina University in the fall.

Ballard named operations director for Diamond Auto Spa
M. Scott Ballard as director of operations and marketing for Diamond Auto Spa and Lube.

A 25-year veteran of the U.S. Marines, Ballard brings his leadership experience and, as an aircraft maintenance officer, has a deep understanding of what it takes to properly maintain complex equipment and to provide service.

In addition, Ballard offers significant experience in technician training and employee mentoring.
