Stewart is named as a ‘Georgia Super Lawyer'
Doug Stewart, attorney and partner at the Gainesville firm of Stewart Melvin & Frost, has been named a "Georgia Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics and Atlanta magazines. This is Stewart's sixth year to receive the honor.

Only 5 percent of the state's lawyers meet the criteria for inclusion in the magazines' Super Lawyer listing. As the senior litigator for Stewart Melvin & Frost, Stewart has more than 40 years of litigation experience and is known throughout the state for his strong client advocacy.

Long active within the State Bar of Georgia, Stewart has served as the organization's president and treasurer. He also has been a member of the State Bar's Board of Governors since 1972 and House of Delegates since 1985.

Super Lawyers are nominated by their peers or are identified by the Law & Politics research department. Candidates are graded on several criteria including verdicts and settlements, representation of clients, honors, position with the law firm, and bar and other professional activities.

The candidates are classified by firm size. Those with the highest point totals in each classification are named Super Lawyers.
