Oakwood's Satterfield is new VP of office chaplain agency

Oakwood resident Shane Satterfield has been named Southeast Region vice president for Marketplace Chaplains USA, overseeing client companies in 11 states and 40,000 covered employees.

He will work out of the Southeast Regional office in Buford, Georgia.

"I am very excited about the future of Marketplace Chaplains and the next 25 years of serving employees and their family members in the Southeast," Satterfield said. Satterfield started his career as an engineer in Atlanta area. He has worked in a variety of churches in Georgia and Florida before coming to Marketplace Chaplains in 2007.

"There is really nothing like this," he said. "It's a dream come true and the chance of a lifetime. I am truly blessed."

"We are thrilled to have such a dynamic young leader to oversee care for the heart and hopes of men and women at Southeast Marketplace Chaplains client companies," said president and COO Dick De Witt. "Shane has done an excellent job in the time he has been here and will only continue to excel in these new, broader responsibilities in the Southeast."

Satterfield and his wife, Shonda, have two children.
