Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle is among the Northeast Georgians listed in Georgia Trend magazine’s annual list of the 100 Most Influential Georgians.
In a story about Cagle, the lieutenant governor recalls his hardscrabble upbringing and how he was encouraged when a pastor gave him $500 to attend a sports camp that otherwise would have been out of reach.
Also named from Northeast Georgia was Lisa Mount, director and consultant for artistic logistics in the Sautee Nacoochee community of White County.
Jimmy Tallent, president and chief executive of United Community Bank in Blairsville, was again named to the list.
Making a list of Notable Georgians was Joe Hatfield, chairman and chief executive of Fieldale Farms Corp. in Baldwin and Sally Bethea, executive director of Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.
