The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center has scheduled a seminar on Starting a Business: Planning & Financing for 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at The Featherbone Center, 999 Chestnut St., Gainesville.

The course will take participants through the process of creating a marketing strategy, and will cover marketing research, startup cost estimates, managing cash flow, financing alternatives, choosing legal forms of business, permitting/licensing and risk management. Class materials include the text.
