Brainstorming sessions on Enota elementary move set for Saturday
Gainesville City Schools plans to demolish the 60-year-old building that houses Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy.

Gainesville City Schools will host two community “brainstorming” meetings at Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy on Saturday morning to hear comments about the elementary school’s move.

The Enota school is in a 60-year-old building at 1340 Enota Ave. in Gainesville. The district has planned to demolish that building and construct a new school on the site.

Enota students will be relocated to space at Centennial Arts Academy for about a year while the new Enota school is constructed.

Topics to be discussed include the transition while the new building is being constructed as well as communication, events and programs and plans for the Smartville garden.

Meetings are to be at 9:30 and 11 a.m. They will start in the cafeteria and smaller sessions will be held on specific topics.
