Yellow signs with “Emergency Need” in bold letters were posted this weekend around Hall County as the LifeSouth Community Blood Center’s bloodmobiles tried to offset a shortage caused by weather earlier this month. “We’ve been out on emergency need for the (last) several weeks now, in regards to the bad weather we’ve had, especially in the Northeast Georgia area,” said John Andrews, the district community development coordinator for LifeSouth. “A lot of the blood drives ended up being canceled because the roads were not passable and businesses had to close.
