A man robbed a Verizon Wireless store in South Hall after holding two employees at gunpoint just after 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

No one at the store, located at 4780 Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford, was injured, but the suspect got away with “merchandise worth several thousand dollars.”

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect, a hooded black man wearing a black shirt, black jacket, jeans, white shoes and a cloth to cover the bottom of his face, approached a female employee near the back door of the store, forcing her inside at gunpoint.

A male employee was also inside. The suspect demanded merchandise, which the employee handed over.

The suspect told both employees to lie on the bathroom floor as he left the scene in a brown 2008-13 Cadillac CTS, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The incident is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and anyone with information on the suspect or the crime is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office investigator at 770-533-7687.
