Two people have died after being found shot Saturday in a vehicle on West Rock Quarry Road in Buford.

Jimmy Watts, 53, of Tiger, was found lying dead in the passenger side of a Toyota Tacoma when Gwinnett County Homicide investigators arrived on the scene around 7 p.m. Saturday, according to Cpl. David Schiralli with the Gwinnett County Police Department. Margie Gibbs, 67, of Columbus, who was lying nearby with a gunshot wound, died after being taken to the Gwinnett Medical Center. A handgun was found on the ground a few feet from the female.

The case is still under investigation and authorities have not determined the motive for the shooting or whether the two victims knew each other, according to Schiralli. It is not know if others were involved in the shooting.

An official ruling of the incident will be announced after the Medical Examiner has completed the autopsies of both victims.
