A Hall County man injured in a car crash escaped the hospital before being booked in to the jail for trafficking methamphetamine, according to authorities. Donnie Lee Smith, 27, was arrested Thursday and faces multiple drug possession charges after eluding law enforcement. Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad agents helped the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol investigate a May 21 traffic accident.
