A Gainesville man is accused of recording a 17-year-old girl without her consent, according to authorities.
Shomari M. Harrison, 37, was charged with sexual exploitation of a child and eavesdropping. He was booked in Monday at the Hall County Jail, where he remains.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware said Harrison “made a video of the victim” without her consent.
Harrison allegedly “used a cellphone outside of a residence through a bathroom window” on July 1, Ware said.
A member of the victim’s family contacted authorities, and arrest warrants were obtained Oct. 24.
He was also served on an outstanding arrest warrant for simple battery stemming from an incident in August, authorities said.
The case is still under investigation.
