Two Athens Highway house fires Jan. 29 have been ruled as arson, Hall County Fire Services reported Feb. 2.
Both homes were in the 3300 block of Athens Highway. One was about 2,000 square feet with heavy fire damage, and the other was about 1,000 square feet with moderate fire damage.
No injuries were reported in the fires.
The combined damage to the homes is estimated at about $100,000.
Investigators believe the fires were set by the same person, according to Fire Services spokesman Zachary Brackett.
Anyone with information about the fires can call the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office at 770-531-6838 or Georgia Arson Control at 800-282-5804, according to a Friday announcement from Brackett.
