Reward offered for information on Hardee’s armed robbery

A reward up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest after police say a “lone gunman” entered the Oakwood Hardee’s Saturday night demanding money.

Oakwood Police said the armed robbery happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the restaurant at Oakwood and Mundy Mill roads. The business had closed for the night, Investigator Todd Templeton said.

Crime Stoppers Atlanta is offering a reward up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone with information can contact Oakwood Police at 770-534-2364 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

“As the manager was preparing to leave, a lone gunman entered and demanded money,” Templeton wrote in an email.

The victim described the suspect as a black male with his face covered. The man was also wearing dark-colored clothing.

The man ran away from the business toward the Best Western hotel with an undisclosed amount of money.
