8 boating under the influence tickets filed, 1 injury reported on Lake Lanier during holiday weekend

The Memorial Day weekend saw eight people ticketed for boating under the influence on Lake Lanier, according to Georgia Department of Natural Resources figures released Monday night.

DNR reported one boating incident and one injury over the same period, with the incident linked to alcohol, according to the agency.

All of those tickets, the incident and the injury came before the actual holiday.
