Authorities are investigating an early-morning armed robbery at a home on 5th Street.

Hall County Sheriff’s Col. Jeff Strickland said that a man knocked at the door of a home in 2000 block of 5th Street at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

When a 26-year-old woman answered the door, the man pointed a handgun at her and told her to give him all her money or he would kill her, Strickland said.

The woman gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and he ran toward the area of Mountain View Road, she said.

The robber was described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slender build, wearing black clothing with a black bandana covering his face.

No arrests have been made in the case.
