Three Gainesville teens were charged with aggravated assault after a teen was attacked at his home Tuesday.

Christian Brito, 17, a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old also were charged with violation of the Georgia Street Gang Act after the stabbing of an 18-year-old at 738 West Ave.

"Officers arrived at the scene and made contact with the victim, who was lying in the driveway," Gainesville Police Department officer Kevin Holbrook said. "There were numerous witnesses, but officers are still unclear how the altercation occurred."

During the fight, one of the teens pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the upper torso several times, Holbrook said. When officers arrived, three teens ran away and the victim was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.

"The victim was bleeding profusely from the upper torso," Holbrook said. "After he was transported by ambulance, officers talked to witnesses and got descriptions and found them close to the scene."

Two subjects were charged Tuesday. The third was arrested Wednesday at another Hall County location.

The county's Gang Task Force is still investigating the case and how the three teens are involved in local gang groups, Holbrook said.
