Five people from Hoschton were arrested between Wednesday and Friday after authorities said they found 28 marijuana plants.
Kelly Rupert, 47, Karyn Rupert, 46, Keegan Rupert, 18, Riley Rupert, 17, and Evan Malone, 27, were arrested on drug-related charges.
“The charges stemmed from a lengthy investigation that indicated marijuana was being grown at this Hoschton address,” Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum said.
Authorities searched the home and found “28 marijuana plants in a grow room along with other quantities of marijuana,” according to a news release.
The estimated street value of the marijuana is $100,000.
All five suspects were charged with possession of marijuana greater than one ounce, manufacturing marijuana, trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug-related objects.
Malone was additionally charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic and possession of hashish oil.
