Miss Chase Andrews Sumerford and Mr. William Nathan Miller were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Oct. 17, 2009, at Christ Church, Frederica on St. Simons Island. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rees Mahone Sumerford of St. Simons Island. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shelley Miller of Dublin.

The Revs. William Ray Worthington and Stanley Prescott Buckley performed the ceremony.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister-in-law Mrs. Alyson Ferine Sumerford of Knoxville, Tenn., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sister-in-law Mrs. Leslie Miller of Gainesville, and the bride’s friends Mrs. Bonnie-Lynne Wilson, Mrs. Denise Wilkins and Miss Jill Hegwood, all of Gainesville, Miss Laura Baumgardner of St. Simons Island, Mrs. Anna Zimmerman of Holly Springs, N.C., and Miss Jennifer Lewis of New York.

The groom’s father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Mr. Barron Bray of Cadwell, Mr. Ryan Dixon of Dublin, Mr. Gant Graves of Athens, Mr. Jay Hill of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mr. John Jackson of Carrollton, Mr. J.P. Johnston of Tifton, Mr. Jamie Lawhorn of Dexter and Mr. John McGarvey of Gainesville; the groom’s brothers Mr. Adam Miller of Gainesville and Mr. Rob Miller of Dublin; the bride’s brother Mr. Harlow Sumerford of Knoxville; and the groom’s friends Mr. Shea Whitmire and Dr. Ron Wilson, both of Gainesville, and Mr. Lee Wyatt and Mr. Brian Smith, both of Dublin.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Halyards, St. Simons Island on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Frederica Golf Club, St. Simons Island following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple reside in Gainesville.
