Brooke and Christopher Russell

Brooke Erin Smith and Christopher James Russell were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. June, 18, 2011, at the bride's parent's home in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of C.V. and Lynne Smith of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Jim and Debbie Russell of Statham.

The Rev. Danny Newbern performed the ceremony.

Guitarists and vocalists Jessie Turk and Courtney Simmons, violinists Elizabeth Jobson and Carolyn Jones, and cellist Stephanie Dickerson presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Jessica Powell of Atlanta was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Sarah Lane of Atlanta, Haley Bower of Gainesville, Molly Blakey of White Sands, N.M., Ashley Rutledge of Lawrenceville, Leah Hampton of Quincy, Mass., groom's cousins Ashley Aufmann of Indianapolis, Ind., and Jennifer Cate of Noblesville, Ind. The bride's friend Lottie Landers of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom's friend Josh Hendrix of Statham, was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Chris Savage of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Blake Thomas of Atlanta, Casey Martin of Demorest, Brett Miller of Winder, Lance Thompson of Bethlehem, groom's cousin Russ Cate of Noblesville, Ind., and bride's brothers Kirk Smith and Trey Smith of Gainesville. The bride's friend Eli Parrish was the ring bearer.

Maria Bower was the wedding coordinator. Haley Boyce, Jammie Caine and Stephanie Rainwater kept the bride's book.

The bride wore a sapphire ring from groom's cousin and carried her grandmother's diamond ring in the bouquet and her grandfather's sixpence.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Northlake Baptist Church in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at their home in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Gainesville.
