Elizabeth Michelle Schultz and Stacy Lamar Long were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19, 2009, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of David and Kathy Schultz of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Darrell Long of Gainesville and the late Aldean Long.
The Rev. Phillip Gillespie performed the ceremony. Vocalist and guitarist Jason Dotson and harpist Elizabeth Bennett presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Jennifer Sheffield of Gainesville was matron of honor. The bride’s sister Jennifer Venson of Gainesville was maid of honor. The groom’s brother Dale Long of Flowery Branch was the best man. Groomsman was the groom’s friend Jason Dotson of Gainesville.
The bride carried a white long stem rose in remembrance of the groom’s mother and a six pence that her mother wore in her wedding.
The groom’s brother and sister-in-law Dale and Deb Long gave a rehearsal dinner at Hopewell Baptist Church in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.
The bride’s parents gave a reception at Hopewell Baptist Church in Gainesville following the ceremony.
Following a honeymoon to Destin, Fla., the couple reside in Gainesville.
