Sally Skardon Kolb and Zachary Brooks Pittman were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Oct. 4, 2008, at The Church of the Holy Comforter in Sumter, S.C. The bride is the daughter of Dorothy Skardon Kolb and Wade Stackhouse Kolb Jr. of Sumter, S.C. The groom is the son of Melissa McPherson Pittman and Charles Winfred Pittman Jr. of Gainesville.

The Rev. Dr. John MacReadie Barr III and the Rev. Charles Friend Walton Jr. performed the ceremony. Organist Walter Samuel Wilson Jr. and trumpeter Thomas Cotter presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's sister Rebecca Graham Kolb of Columbia, S.C., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friend Mary Katherine Aronson of Atlanta, the bride's cousin Elizabeth Skardon Garrison of Columbia, the bride's friends Hayes Edmunds Jones of Sumter and Valerie Williams Macdonald of Cumming and the bride's cousin Genevieve Louisa White of Greenville, S.C.

The groom's father and the groom's brother Charles Brett Pittman of Gainesville were the best men. Groomsmen were the groom's friend Robert Blake Carl of Atlanta; the bride's brother Wade Stackhouse Kolb III of Durham, N.C.; the groom's friend Brian Franklin Maiden of Nashville, Tenn.; and the groom's cousin Jon Ryan Pittman of McCaysville. Ushers were Zachary Clay Philyaw of Cleveland and Ryan Lee Thompson of Gainesville.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Sunset Country Club in Sumter on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at the couple's home following the ceremony.

Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple reside in Gainesville.
