Jessica Margaret Bowman and David Shane Donaldson were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Dec. 27, 2008, at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church in Chestnut Mountain. The bride is the daughter of Larry and Mary Bowman of Flowery Branch. The groom is the son of Mike and Zoe Cheek of Winder and David Donaldson of Cumming.

The Rev. John Batusic performed the ceremony. Pianist Beverly Bradbury, violinist Emese Vas and trumpeter Dan Burkhart presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Natalie Wheeler of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Kimberly Mierowitz of Augusta; Nancy Mousa and Danielle Beasley, both of Athens; Megan Gregory of Orlando, Fla.; and the bride's cousins Virginia Erbele of Savannah and Allison Erbele of Cleveland.

The groom's brother Mark Donaldson of Phoenix was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's father, the groom's friends David Beers of Atlanta, Scott Beutjer of Carrollton, James Holcomb of Lawrenceville, Henry Dean of Carrollton, and the groom's brother-in-law Jonathan Mallett of Alexandria, Va. Ushers were Samuel Bowman, Daniel Provost and Lee, Timothy and Josh Jackson.

Cindy Scott was the wedding coordinator.

The bride carried a flower-embroidered handkerchief given to her by her maternal grandmother.

The groom's sister and aunt gave a rehearsal dinner at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church in Chestnut Mountain on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at Reunion Golf Club in Hoschton following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, the couple reside in Frisco, Texas.
