He was the runt of the litter, a tiny tree that wouldn't make it out of Kinsey's Tree Farm in time for Christmas. The after-school program at Mount Vernon Elementary School in Gainesville came to his rescue - they made him the star in their "Charlie Brown Christmas" production.

Well, he lives on.

Students in the program collected trash from the playground for Earth Day last week, and Tim went from holiday lights to ... well ... trash.

But he still stood proud, lovingly decorated by the kids at Mount Vernon, in the spirit of Earth Day.
