Summer Theater Camp covers variety of skills
Students participating in Fifth Row Center’s and Sterling on the Lake’s Summer Theater Camp joined in the end-of-camp production. Fifth Row Center is South Hall’s community theater.

Sterling on the Lake and Fifth Row Center, South Hall’s community theater, held a Summer Theater Camp for students ages 5-17 on July 21-25 at Sterling on the Lake Clubhouse.

The camp offered skills classes for children and teens interested in theater. Classes addressed subjects such as acting, singing, public speaking and stage movement. Classes dedicated to stage movement included instruction in dance for musical theater, physical expression and mime. Additional classes included how to audition, Scary FX: Special effects makeup and acting for TV.

Students participated in rehearsals for an end-of-camp production. All students participated in the production. Instructors were Cheryl Smith Baraban, David Franklin, Donna Chalmers and Jessica Thaxton Smith.
