Students place third in horse contest
Senior Horse Judging coach Tanya Woodard, left, and her team — homeschooled senior Kristy Barrett, homeschooled junior Nicole Smith and East Hall High School senior Courtney Woodard — placed third in the 4-H State Horse Judging Contest.

Hall County 4-H is proud to announce the Senior Horse Judging team placed third in the 4-H State Horse Judging Contest and recently competed at the Southern Regional 4-H Horse Show in Raleigh, N.C.

Team members were Courtney Woodard, Nicole Smith and Kristy Barrett.

East Hall High School senior Woodard received first in the state individual demonstration contest. She also competed in the individual demonstration contest, receiving seventh place at the Southern Regional Show.

The Southern Regional Horse Show consists of 13 states extending from Virginia down and across to Texas.
