Jessica Robson of Gainesville was chosen to participate in the Governor's Intern Program this spring. She will be working as a fellow for the Governor's Office of Executive Appointments. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in speech communication.

Cadet Patricia Thibodeau of Clermont was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. To be named to the list, students must earn a 3.2 grade-point average with 12 or more semester hours and no grade bellow a C in the pervious semester's work. Thibodeau is the daughter of Richard R. Thibodeau.

Robert Thompson of Gainesville was named to the merit list for the fall semester at Darton College in Albany. To be named to the list, students must earn a 3.4 grade-point average.

Richard Austin Palmer of Gainesville has been named to the dean's list at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C.

Emily Palmer of Gainesville has recently been awarded a $1,000 Leadership Scholarship from Chick-fil-A. Palmer is the 11th recipient of this award from the Gainesville Chick-fil-A restaurant.

Natalie Ann Umphlett of Gainesville has received a master of science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, Neb.
