Phi Mu fraternity raises money for area causes
The Phi Mu fraternity at Brenau participated in the dance marathon to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

The Mu chapter of the Phi Mu fraternity at Brenau University sponsored two events this spring, raising $3,365 for its national philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The chapter raised $200 by holding a Chick-Fil-A biscuit sale on the Brenau campus. They also donated 50 biscuits to Good News at Noon, a faith-based ministry providing meals to those in need in Gainesville.

On March 1, the members participated in the dance marathon on the Georgia Tech campus and raised $3,165 by collecting donations for two months.

Mu Chapter Philanthropy Chairman Lindsay Kelly said the dancers at the marathon raised the largest amount on record for the group.
