Local society of Daughters of the American Revolution host annual Awards Tea

For The Times The Colonel William Candler Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution had its annual Awards Tea on Feb. 20 at the Northeast Georgia History Center. The society presented the Conservation Award to Margaret Rasmussen for her work in the Redbud Project and preserving 30 acres known as the Linwood Nature Preserve. Lawrence “Lorry” Schrage and Christine Lanzing received Community Service Awards for their volunteer work in the community. Color Guard members of the Lyman Hall Chapter, Georgia State Society Sons of the American Revolution participated in the program.
