Lanier partners raise $400K for children charities

On Oct. 24, The Lanier Partners of North Georgia Inc. sponsored the sixth annual Pirates of Lanier Poker Run and presented its charities with checks of up to $400,000. The following charities received a check: Camp Sunshine, a summer camp for children with cancer; Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County; Camp Twin Lakes; Sunshine on a Ranney Day, which is known for creating dream room makeovers for children with long-term disabilities or illnesses, including the Tripp Halstead family home; and the Edmondson-Telford Center for Children. The 2014 Pirates of Lanier Poker Run was July 17-20 at Lake Lanier in Gainesville with 301 boat entrants and landlubbers participating.
