The family of the late W. Woodrow Stewart, past chairman of The Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees and member of the Board of Trustees for Northeast Georgia Health System, accepted on his behalf the Georgia Hospital Association’s Distinguished Service Award, one of GHA’s highest honors, at the association’s annual convention in Atlanta.
Stewart was recognized for his significant role in raising awareness of the need for philanthropic support to improve the health of the community and for helping NGHS develop strategies to deal with the uncertain future of the industry.
