2011 State Congress

Three Hall County students earned awards in the state 4-H Congress competition held July 19-22 in Atlanta.

Hall County 4-H members were also recently recognized by the County Commissioners with an "Award of Excellence" for their work in the areas of Public Speaking, Community Service, Leadership and Citizenship.

Winners were Kia Shields, Anna Minor, Savannah Ledford, Shanicka Stephens, Jenna VanNostrandl, Selena Ledford, Courtney Woodard Carsen Cain. Chloe Waters and Carolynn Lee.

of West Hall High School placed second in the Human Development project and Haley Woodard of East Hall Middle School placed third in the Horse project.
of Flowery Branch High School won first in the state in the International project, which signifies she has Mastered in 4-H project work. She earned a trip to National 4-H Congress this fall.
