Gainesville High School students Johnny Galaviz, Oo Myar, Duong Nguyen, Aleli Rebollar and Leonardo Tovair had artwork accepted into “Artistic Discovery: the Congressional Art Competition” at the University of North Georgia Art Gallery on the Gainesville campus. Tovair’s oil pastel drawing won third place. The competition was open to students in Georgia’s 9th Congressional District.
