Don Carter State Park wins Resource Enhancement Award

Don Carter State Park on Lake Lanier received the Resource Enhancement Award during the recent Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites Managers Conference. The award was accepted by former park manager Will Wagner for improving land use and infrastructure of Georgia’s newest state park. Projects included invasive plant species removal, landscaping, lake shore cleanup, trail maintenance and aquatic invertebrate sampling.
