Brenau students perform at Black Mountain College

The Black Mountain College Experience had its opening reception March 6 at the John S. Burd Center on the Brenau University campus in Gainesville. It featured dance, music, painting, drawing and other media by the artists who worked together in the Black Mountain College setting.

Brenau University dance and music majors who displayed their talents at the reception were:

* Melinda K. Cassiday of Maysville, a freshman majoring in dance studies.

* Jenny Grace Ray of Jefferson, a junior majoring in dance studies.

The exhibition, running from March 6 to May 16, features the artwork of Robert Rauschenburg, John Cage, Roy Lichtenstein, Josef Albers and others artists.

This exhibition celebrates the rich history of innovation and collaboration of the legendary Black Mountain College. This exhibition is free and open to the public.
