Banks County has been awarded a $5,000 grant by the state to assist with entrepreneur and small business support with the Banks County Chamber of Commerce. The organization's business classes, the Maximum Series, teach how to start and maintain a successful business.
The county became eligible for this grant when it was designated an "entrepreneur-friendly community" by the Georgia Department of Economic Development. This designation indicates a Georgia community is developing an entrepreneur and small business strategic plan and an environment conducive to small business and entrepreneurs.
