Rachel Smith and Murray Flint

Debbie Bellah and her husband, Kenny Bellah, of Dawsonville and Benny Smith and his wife, Kathy Smith, of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Grace Smith to Murray Scott Flint, son of Vita Flint and Scott Flint of Dacula.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jerry Blount and Sanda Blount of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Rachel Calhoun and Mark Calhoun of Panama City Beach, Fla.

She is a 2008 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2012 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She is employed as a coordinator of admissions events and marketing at University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Trudy Flint of Meridian, Miss., and the late Raymond Flint and Daisy Moulds of Meridian, Miss., and the late Clinton Moulds.

He is a 2008 graduate of Dacula High School in Dacula. He graduated in 2011 from University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He received a law degree at the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa. He is employed as an attorney by Smith, Spires & Peddy, P.C. in Birmingham.

The couple plan to wed Aug. 20, 2016, at University of Georgia chapel in Athens.
