Whitney Simmemon and Justin Spillers

Ricky and Teresa Simmemon of Alto announce the engagement of their daughter Whitney Dawn Simmemon to Justin Michael Spillers, son of John and Debbie Spillers of Cleveland.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Grady and Linda Simmemon of Alto, Berma Poole of Cornelia, the late Telford Poole and the late Ruth Allen Holcomb.

She is a 2004 graduate of Habersham Central High School in Mount Airy. She graduated in 2008 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in middle grades education. She is employed as a sixth-grade math teacher with East Hall Middle School in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Evelyn Loggins of Gainesville, the late Grady C. Loggins, and Virgil and Eloise Spillers of Chatham, La.

He is a 2001 graduate of White County High School in Cleveland. He graduated in 2003 from Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland and in 2006 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is employed as a business education and Foxfire teacher with Rabun County High School in Clayton.

The couple plan to wed July 18, 2009, at Wolf Mountain Vineyards in Dahlonega.
