Steve and Nancy Pettit of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Margaret Allyson Pettit to JamesAverette Ham, son of Linda and Chris McCant of Macon, and Darlene Ham and the late Monte Hamof Gray.The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Bill and Ruth Pittman of Gainesville, and the late Jimmy and Marie E. Pettit of Gainesville. She is a 2002 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2005 from North Georgia College & State University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
