Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Edward Patterson Jr. of Hoover, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter Stacy Michelle Patterson to John William Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Newman William Morris II of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Woodard of Hoover, Mrs. Louise Patterson of Alabaster, Ala., and the late Mr. Ernest Edward Patterson.

She is a graduate of Hoover High School in Hoover. She graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority. She is employed as a registered nurse at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Livingstone Clendenin of Atlanta, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Newman William Morris.

He is a graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. He attended Southern Union Community College and Auburn University and obtained a degree in radiologic science. He is employed as a registered radiologic technologist at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.

The couple plans to wed June 7, 2008, at Riverchase United Methodist Church in Hoover.
